A tea with a very brief harvest time, Pingshui green tea, otherwise called Pinhead Gunpowder, is picked from April to May when the quality of the tea is at its best. The nickname 'gunpowder' is believed to have been given by an English clerk who noted the resemblance of the small green leaf balls to gunpowder. The comparisons don't stop there! Much like gunpowder, this tea packs quite a punch: the brewed tea produces a rich dark green colour, unforgettable fragrance and lightly bitter taste. Due to its high-density pinhead gunpowder, tea uses fewer leaves for a successful brew so fire up the kettle and fire away a nice cup of pinhead gunpowder green tea!
