How was the Balmoral Tea Blend made?
In June 2019, the team at Balmoral Estate approached Jenier to ask if we could create a new, unique black tea blend they could serve and sell at the estate to visitors throughout Visitor enterprises at Balmoral Estate. We were delighted to be given such an opportunity and began the process identifying with the team at Balmoral teas they enjoyed and from which we could start to build the blend.
The final result for The Balmoral Blend includes six Estate Black Teas from three growing regions. When creating the blend, it was extremely important to the Balmoral team that the teas reflected Scotland's influence on the commercialisation of tea and as such, we took inspiration from Scotland’s historic tea pioneers (Robert Bruce, James Taylor and Robert Fortune).
