This ripe black pu-erh is a unique variation of the typically green pu-erh you may be familiar with. Just before the leaves are placed under wet blankets to begin the fermentation process, heat is applied so the leaf can be pre-fermented. The result? Similar to a raw pu-erh, the cup has a rich depth with earthy notes, malt and a gentle musk.
