Freeze-Dried Raspberries
While drying fruits has been practised for hundreds of years, modern technology has developed freeze drying. This process helps preserve the raspberry's flavour, nutrients, and colour.
Freeze drying involves placing the fresh fruit in a large freezer until frozen. Once frozen, the raspberries are placed inside a vacuum chamber. The vacuum pump removes all air and water, including any water contained in the frozen fruits. This process preserves the vibrant colour while leaving the raspberries retaining most of their flavour, sweetness, and nutrients.
Rosehips
The addition of dried rosehips to the blend brings a slightly tangy flavour that complements the raspberry. From a wellness perspective, rosehips are a valuable addition. Their high content of vitamin C and antioxidants is known to boost the immune system and enhance overall health.
