FAQ's
To name this citrus variation of the traditional blend, we went back into the history books to look for some inspiration. We learnt that the Earl Grey (Charles Grey), associated with Earl Grey tea, was romantically involved with Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire (née Spencer), during the early 1790s, and to reflect the lighter, floral, romantic character of this blend, Duchess Earl Grey was named.
Absolutely! Duchess Earl Grey can be prepared as refreshing iced tea using a hot tea infusion. Simply brew the tea as instructed, but double the amount of leaves you would normally use. Allow it to cool, and then pour the brewed tea over ice. You can also add sweeteners, lemon, or mint for an extra twist. Duchess Earl Grey makes a great iced tea using traditional methods but also works really well as a cold brew tea.
